Brock Wilson won the fourth event of the 2021 Poker Masters high roller series for $189,800. The $10,000 buy-in event attracted 73 entries including the 2-time bracelet winner Nick Petrangelo.

The win pushed Wilson’s career tournament earnings to more than $3.7 million. This performance was an improvement on the opening event where he finished fourth for $82,000. In addition to the prize money, Wilson also earned a considerable amount of poker masters ranking points and is currently in the lead with 272 points. The winner of the series won a limited edition Purple Jacket and an additional $50,000 cash prize. Additionally, he was rewarded with 420 Card Player of the year points, and 190 PokerGo tour ranking points.

Brock Wilson Final Table Performance

Coming to the final day, the field had been reduced to 15 players and Brek Schutten was the chip leader.

The final table was made up of 7 players.

Petrangelo was the first elimination of the final table after falling to Chad Eveslage. Eveslage flopped a set of deuces to win against Petrangelo’s pocket queens.

A few hands later, Sam Soverel moved all-in with two pair against Wilson’s overpair of aces. Unfortunately, for Soverel, Wilson rivered another Ace to win the hand and eliminate Soverel in 15th place. Soverel earned $58,000.

Wilson’s dominance continued as he eliminated Eveslage in 4th place. Eveslage moved all-in with Q-J suited and Wilson called with A-8. Eveslage earned $76,000 for his fourth-place finish.

Three-handed play

After Eveslage’s elimination, Wilson was the short stack, and Schutten lead the pack. However, Schutten lost a decisive pot against Elio Fox and lost the lead to Fox. Shortly after, Schutten found himself in trouble after moving all-in with A-7 against Fox’s K-Q. Fox flopped a pair to win the pot and hence eliminated Schutten in third place for $94,900.

Heads-up play was nothing short of exciting and Fox held a significant chip advantage a few hands in. However, Wilson called Fox’s bluff to regain the chip lead. On the final hand, Fox limped with 8-5 and Wilson checked with 8-7. They both made a pair on the flop. Coincidentally, they both made trips on the turn setting stage for the bad beat of the day. Wilson moved all-in after making a full house on the river to win the pot. Fox earned $138,700 for his second-place finish while Brock Wilson won $189,800.
