Most poker players do poker full-time whereas others consider it as a side hustle or a recreational sport. David Williams is a top-of-the-line chef who does poker on the side. David Williams Early Life
Williams Was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. He is 38 years old. During his teen years, he attended the University of North Texas and later attended Princeton University. After several years, he transferred to Southern Methodist University where he pursued economics.
As with most poker pros, he started playing poker online before catching the live poker bug.
William has a glowing track record in poker. In 2004, Williams finished second behind Greg Raymer in WSOP main event. As a result, he won a whopping $3.5 million. In the same year, Williams finished in 2nd position at the World Poker Tour’s (WPT) Borgata Open. He won a decent $573,800.
Also in 2004, Williams’ success on live felt was also replicated on the virtual felt. He played under the moniker ”RugDoctor”. He joined the “team Bodog” in the same year. However, he severed ties with the group in 2010. In 2009, he won the $2,100 8-Game World Championship of Online Poker event (#42) for $107,800
In 2006, he won a WSOP bracelet. He finished first in $1,500 Seven-Card Stud event. For his efforts, he pocketed the $163,118 prize. His impressive performance in 2006 WSOP stretched to WPT. He finished fourth in two WPT events.
In 2010, he went on to win the WPT Five-Star World Poker Classic championship for $1.5 million.
Recently, in August 2018, he won the $ 80 No Limit Hold’em – Super Stack for $939.

According to Hendonmob, he currently sits at 89th place on the All-Time Money List. He is 95th in popularity ranking and a distant 12,920th in Global Poker Ranking Index. In addition, he is placed 246th on the All-Time WSOP Cashes and 1688th on the EPT ALL Time Money List.
