Joe Mckeehen was born and raised in North Wales, Pennsylvania. Since he first set foot in poker, he has made quite a name for himself. Read on to know more about Joe McKeehen.
Joe McKeehen Early Life
Mckeehen caught the poker bug while still in college. He was pursuing a degree in math at Arcadia University in Pennsylvania when he developed an interest in poker. He used to play online under the moniker “dude904”. However, in 2012, he won a PokerStars Caribbean Adventure side event and pocketed a little over $116,000.
He started playing poker full-time after graduating from college.
McKeehen’s poker career assumed an upward trajectory in 2013 when he won a WSOP circuit event for $174,147. In the same WSOP, he registered for WSOP main event where he performed rather dismally and finished 489th. However, he did not give up. In 2014’s WSOP, he was a runner up in the Monster Stack Event for $821,000.
In 2015, he won his first WSOP bracelet. He won the WSOP main event after defeating Josh Beckley.
In 2016, he finished second in PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller event for $1.22 million. In the same year, he finished 6th in $111,111 NLHE High Roller for One Drop tournament. He won a little shy of $830,000.
His poker success continued into the 2017 WSOP. He won $10,000 Limit Hold’Em World Championship event for his second bracelet. Also in the same year, he finished 2nd in two events during the 2017 Summer Borgata Poker Open. He took home more than $222,000.
Additionally, he finished fourth in the 2018 Lucky Hearts Poker Open $25,500 NLHE High Roller for almost $170,000. He also finished fourth in the 2018 WPT Borgata Winter Open for $240,251.
Finally, in December 2018, he finished 9th in $ 10,000 + 400 No Limit Hold’em – WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main Event for $163,142.

At the moment, McKeehen has $15, 716, 078 total live earnings. His best Live cash win is $7,683,346. Currently, he is ranked 21st in the U.S. All-Time Money List and 34th in All Time Money List. He is placed 31st in Popularity Ranking.
