The 2022 Poker Master High Roller Series is in full swing at ARIA Resort & Casino, Las Vegas. Sean Winter from Florida won the second-last event of the series. Winter topped a field of 54 entrants in the Event # 9 $25,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em to secure the title and top prize of $432,000.

A few days ago, Winter finished in second place in Event #7 $25,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em. Currently, he is leading the race for the Poker Masters Purple Jacket with 466 PokerGo Tour points in the series and 2,227 in the current year. With three titles and 16 final table finishes, Winter increased his lifetime earnings to more than $22.9 million.

Day 2 Action

The six best players of the tournament reached day 2. These six players had World Series of Poker bracelets, World Poker Tour titles, and Super High Roller Bowl rings on their poker resumes. Sean Winter played brilliantly to defeat them all.

The top eight finishers reached the money bubble. Both Victoria Livschitz and Daniel Colpoys were eliminated on Day 1. Livschitz finished in eighth place for $54,000 while Colpoys left the table in seventh place for $67,500.

The Day 2 final table elimination started with the Bracelet winner Jason Koon. Koon moved all in A-Q against the A (Hearts) and Q (Diamonds) of WPT champion and three-time bracelet winner Nick Schulman. Schulman eliminated Koon after making a winning flush when the board showed four diamonds. Koon received $81,000 for his sixth-place finish.

Five-time bracelet winner Brian Rast lost in fifth place. The Super High Roller Bowl Champion moved all in with K (Diamonds) and 7 (Diamonds) against the J (Clubs) and 9 (Clubs) of Winter. Winter made a straight draw and then turned a flush draw. Next, the river completed Winter’s straight to eliminate Rast in fifth place for $108,000.

A few moments later, Seth Davies moved all-in with A-5, and Bonomo called with K-6. Bonomo made trips when the river showed a King for him. Davies returned home with $135,000 for his fourth-place finish. Justin Bonomo’s play ended in the third place when his A-Q suited to face the pocket fours of Winter. The flop showed a four, providing Winter lead in the hand. The board paired on the turn, and Bonomo had to leave the table. He made $189,000 for his efforts.

The Heads-up Play

Winter entered the heads-up with an almost 4.5:1 chip lead over Schulman. The battle between the two continued for an hour. In the final hand, Winter called with A (Diamonds) and 7 (Diamonds), while Schulman moved all in with K (Spades) and 4 (Spades). The board showed 7 (Spades), 6 (Spades), and 4 (Diamonds), favoring Schulman, but the turn showed A (Clubs). Finally, the 9 (Clubs) sealed the pot and title for Winter, and Schulman’s game ended in second place for $283,500.
