The 2022 Poker Masters Series is currently underway at the PokerGO Studio ARIA Resort and Casino, Las Vegas. The high-stakes four-card tournament crowned another champion in the $10,000 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha Event. Ronald Keijzer defeated 81 entries to claim the title and top prize of $205,000. The Dutch poker pro made his second career-best score, plus the second live tournament title.
Keijzer’s previous best was $475,033 for his first-place finish in the $3,000 PLO six max event at the 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP). With this win, Keijzer increased his lifetime earnings to over $846,000.
Final Table Eliminations
The top 12 finishers reached the prize pool. The 2019 Poker Master Winner and bracelet winner Sam Soverel finished in ninth place, while Adam Hendrix’s play ended in eleventh place. Three-time bracelet champion Nick Schulam returned home with some cash for his twelfth position.
Samantha Perryman saw some tough time from other contenders and his run ended in eighth place for $32,400. Jared Bleznick was the next player to leave the table. He returned home with $40,500 for his seventh-place finish.
Keijzer already had the chip lead from the beginning of the final day. He further extended his lead by eliminating Dan Shak in sixth place. Shark earned $48,600 for his efforts. A few moments later, Allan Le also lost to Keijzer after his pock aces failed to progress. Le received $64,800 for his fifth place showing.
At this time, Keijzer extended his lead almost three times as compared to Alex Livingston. Keijzer’s A (Hearts), 7 (Diamonds), 5 (Hearts), and 4 (Spades) outran the A (Spades), A (Clubs), Q (Diamonds), and J (Spades) of Damjan Radanov when Keijzer opted to bet on the 9 (Diamonds), 4 (Hearts), and 2 (Spades) and Radanov moved all in. The 8 (Spades) on the turn benefited Radanov, but the 5 (Clubs) helped Keijzer win a two-pair. Radanov cashed $81,000 for his fourth position in the event.
Bracelet winner Ben Lamb became the next victim of elimination. Lamb raised with A (Clubs), J (Diamonds), and 7 (Diamonds), while Livingston called with A (Spades), 7 (Hearts), 6 (Spades), and 4 (Diamonds). Livingston made a gutshot when the flop showed 10 (Clubs), 7 (Spades), and 3 (Clubs). Next, Lamb moved all in, and Livingston replied with a call. The turn came out to be 8 (Hearts), and the river showed Q (Diamonds), sending Livingston home in third place for $97,200.
The Heads-up Play
Keijzer entered the heads-up play with an almost 3:1 chip lead over Lamb. In the final hand, Keijzer raised with A (Spades), 10 (Clubs), 6 (Spades), and 6 (Clubs), and Lamb played defensively with Q (Spades), 8 (Hearts), 6 (Hearts), and 4 (Diamonds). The flop showed A (Diamonds), 6 (Diamonds), and 4 (Hearts).
The action continued for a while, and then Keijzer raised all in, to which Lamb called with his remaining big blinds. The K (Diamonds), on the turn, decided the fate of Lamb and the A (Clubs) was just a formality. Keijzer sealed the pot and title while Lamb received $145,800 for his runner-up finish.
