The famed Casino de Marrakech is all set to welcome the poker lovers for the 2022 Marrakech Poker Open, starting from September 2 to September 11. This famous casino is no stranger to hosting such prestigious poker events. In 2019, Casino de Marrakech hosted the WPTDeepStacks Main event, which attracted 545 participants. The Spanish player Alejandro Roman secured the title for DH 1,100,000 ($114,880).

Back in January 2020, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) International Circuit chose Casino de Marrakech as their stopping point. The Italian player Samiyel Duzgun claimed the DH 15,000 buy-in Main Event title by defeating 624 entries in the event. Duzgun received DH 1,600,000 ($169,018) for his top finish.

The event will start with the MPO Opener, a two-day event with DH 4,000 (€400) entry amount. The next event after the opener is the DH 5,000 (€500) Marrakech Poker Open Warm-Up Deep Stack. This event is followed by the MPO DH 13,200 (€1,300) buy-in Main Event, the crown jewel of the series. This event has two starting flights, which will run through September 8 and 9. Each participant will receive 30,000 chips and 40 minutes of playtime. Re-entries are allowed on each flight till the end of level 10, and late registrations will close after that.

The DH 20,000 (€2,000) buy-in High Roller and DH 30,000 (€3,000) Super High Roller event are sandwiched between the MPO Main Event and its declared champion. Other events that include the Monster Stack, progressive bounty, classic bounty, and a short-handed tournament will also be a part of the series.
