Jamie Kerstetter vegan prop bet

It’s only 1 month into 2019 and the prop betting scene is already buzzing.

How much can you accept to stay vegan for a year? Or how much can you wager on a someone staying vegan for a year?

How it started

Well, David Tuchman was looking to test the prop bet waters. He tweeted asking how much money is enough to stay vegan for a year. To him, $200,000 is enough. However, shortly after, he updated that his wife was not for the idea.

His tweet got quite a number of engagements with most respondents putting across 6-figure propositions. However, Jamie Kerstetter replied with a more reasonable figure, $10,000.

“Interested in doing it anyway and it would cover the more expensive grocery bills – Jamie Kerstetter.”

Bill Perkins replied to Kerstetter and the terms were set shortly after. Bill perkins is known for booking insane prop bets that push people to the extreme.

Jamie Kerstetter Prop Bet Terms

As mentioned earlier, Jamie Kerstetter entered into a prop bet to stay vegan for a whole year. Therefore, she will have to suppress her love for animal meat from 2/6/2019 to 2/6/20. If she actually stays away from meat for a year, she will win a decent $10k.

In addition, she will have to give blog updates twice per month.

If she quits mid-way, there are repercussions. She will have to endure 100 works of volunteer work in under a year.

If she fails to complete the 100 hours, she will have to pay perkins $10k.

Speaking to poker news, Jamie Kerstetter was all praises for Bill perkins.

“Bill [Perkins] rules because he wants to encourage people to do the things they feel they should be doing anyway to have a positive impact on the world[…]It’s cool that he’s willing to make this bet to hold me accountable and I’m sure he’ll pick some really interesting places for me to volunteer 100 hours if I fail.”

Final word

It is unfortunate that we will have to hold our breath for this one. However, we have no choice but to wait. We will offer monthly updates on the progress of the bet.
