2019 is now behind us and we can now look back and reflect on issues that affected the poker community.

However, poker issues aside, there are poker pros who had a good year; winning millions of dollars, taking down prestigious titles, and breaking records.

Therefore, it is only prudent to list 5 poker pros to watch in 2020.

 

#1 Bryn Kenney

2019 was Bryn Kenney’s year. Well, we can say Kenney broke the game.

As a matter of fact, he is on track to becoming a poker legend. Currently, he is ranked number 1 on the all-time money list after dislodging Justin Binomo from the top spot earlier in the year.

In 2019 alone, Kenney won more than $20 million. Actually, no one made more money in 2019 than Kenney.

Will he replicate this form in 2020? Time will tell.

 

#2 Edward Chun Ho Yam

Edward Chun Ho Yam may not be an elite player but he is definitely heading there.

He may not have an illustrious career, but his prowess on the felt was evident in 2019. In fact, he had the most number of cashes in 2019.

However, the cashes were low volume with sums as low as a couple of dollars. He had a total of 215 cashes in 2019.

If he will be able to replicate his success in mid-level and high stakes tournament, he will certainly be a force to reckon with.

 

#3 Aaron Shu Nu Zang

Aaron Shu Nu Zang is a poker titan domiciled in China. Just like Bryn Kenney, Shu Nu Zang was one of the few poker players who managed to make millions in 2019.

He managed to make more than $16 million in 2019 and he currently ranks 1st in China all-time money list. We will be waiting to see if he will post equally impressive results in 2020.

 

#4 Stephen Chidwick

Born and raised in Deal, England, Stephen Chidwick is a witty poker player who has made millions of dollars in his extensive poker career.

In 2019, he dominated live tournaments and made more than $13 million dollars. Currently, he ranks 1st on England all-time money list with $33 million to his name. He is 7th on the all-time money list.

 

#5 Daniel Negreanu

Arguably the most popular player at the moment, Daniel Negreanu is always a joy to watch and/or play with.
